Mental Health Case Manager - Misawa, Japan


OSS is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to fill a position as Mental Health Case Manager within the 35th Medical Group, Misawa Air Base , Japan. The best candidate possess a Master's The best candidate possess a Master's degree in Social Work, has at least one year experience in a clinical social work setting, and is already located or is PCSing to Misawa, Japan in the near future. .

Requirements:

  • Education: Must at least possess a Master’s degree accredited by a national social work accrediting agency. Must also have completed a clinical practicum in the area of mental health.

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year full time experience in clinical social work setting within the last five (5) years.

  • Licensure: Must possess a valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from one of the 50 states, and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territories of the United States. OR the individual must have completed a Master’s Level degree in Social Work and be in the process of acquiring a valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from one of the 50 states, and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territories of the United States.

  • Immunizations: Before start of work, health care workers shall provide proof of immunization from the following diseases according to CDC guidelines: Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza. The RN shall also provide proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12months (if positive, proof of negative chest X-ray within 12 months) prior to start of work. After start of work, the Government will provide post blood borne exposure protocols according to applicable Air Force instructions (AFIs). Start of work is defined as the period of performance start date of the contract.
