OSS is actively seeking administrative support staff for the Call Center Medical Appointment Line at the 374th Medical Group, Yokota AB, Japan. The ideal candidates are already living within the vicinity of Yokota AB; are proficient in understanding (reading, speaking, listening, and writing) English; have great customer service skills; are computer efficient; and shall be capable of effectively communicating with patients and MTF staff. On the job training will be provided.


  • Education: Must be proficient in understanding (reading, speaking, listening, and writing) English, and shall be capable of effectively communicating with patients and MTF staff. If not a native speaker, proof of a minimum score or higher of the following English test shall be submitted. (a) TOEIC score: 730 or higher (b) Other English Test if no TOEIC score is available: Equivalent level as the above TOEIC score. High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.

  • Certification: The individual must complete American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR with AED or American Red Cross equivalent within 60 days of employment. The Government will provide initial/refresher training to all MDG employees to include contractors once they’ve in-processed to the MDG.

  • Experience. Previous experience within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) preferred, but not required. Training will be provided by the MTF on both the phone and appropriate computer systems used for booking appointments.

  • Immunizations: Because the work environment is inside the MTF, there are unique immunization/health requirements. Contract employees shall provide evidence of immunizations to Covid 19, mumps, measles, rubella, varicella, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and Tuberculosis (TB), within the first 10 days of employment. Contract employees shall also provide proof of a negative TB skin test within 12 months (if positive, proof of negative chest X-ray within 12 months, at the cost of the contractors expense) prior to start of work.
